Last year we invited all FLINTA* (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans and Agender) people in the games industry to our first meetup. We are thrilled with the response and grateful for the wonderful people who joined us over the past few months. To mark our anniversary meetup, we want to change it up a bit:
For this very special occasion, we're opening up this event for allies as well! This means you're welcome to attend this meetup if you don't fall under the FLINTA* Label yourself, but support those who do. To celebrate this anniversary in style, we're reviving the idea of the first meetup and invite you to a picnic. Grab a blanket, bring your favourite shareable snack, some games and cross your fingers for a sunny evening. As the weather is so unpredictable, we have a backup indoor location. We will inform you about the final location the day before the event, so please keep an eye on your inbox and our channels. Both locations are located near the city centre, in the Hafencity or Speicherstadt.
We extend a warm welcome to anyone who identifies with the FLINTA* label (or is an ally) and has an interest in the industry, regardless of position - from students and apprentices to CEOs. To everyone who is not part of the FLINTA* label, we're very much looking forward to seeing you at one of our other events!
We will provide some drinks and snacks, but feel free to bring some as well.
