Music WorX 2023: These teams are taking part

Welcome Music-WorX-Teams 2023: We are looking forward to three months of an intensive incubator programme with these four exciting business ideas at the intersection of music & tech.

Incidentally, our Music WorX programme doesn't just extend beyond the borders of Hamburg - we invite up-and-coming start-ups from all over Europe to develop their ideas with us. Our jury has selected the four most promising ideas in the field of music technology from around 40 applications.

atopia

Atopia is the metaverse for art and culture. Access to culture has been proven to be key to social inclusion and well-being and is one of our human rights - yet 12% of Europeans and 34% of Americans do not have access to it. Atopia brings together all the world's museums, galleries, cultural venues and stages on its VR-compatible multiplayer platform to make cultural experiences accessible to everyone, everywhere. Atopia's 15 partners include world-renowned institutions such as the Gropius Bau in Berlin, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsches Museum and the Kunsthalle Mannheim.

piumosso

Piumosso is a platform that connects high-calibre orchestral musicians with the concert market, consisting of orchestras, classical music festivals, churches, studios and agencies. The platform speeds up the recruitment process for musicians while they manage all information about their work in one place, including their diary, public profile, performance dates and repertoire. The aim is to break down barriers and bring the latest technological advances behind the scenes of classical music.

Polytone

Polytone offers musicians easy access to high-quality instruments through its leasing platform. At the same time, private investors are given the opportunity to invest in classical music instruments, which are recognised as a stable and socially sustainable asset class. With the aim of democratising the classical music industry, Polytone has already entered into partnerships with renowned organisations such as the Barenboim-Said Academy and the Berlin State Opera.
