I’d like to start my own business. Where can I find some initial information?

If you’re thinking of setting up your own business, we recommend our Online Academy. There you’ll find information, guides and training courses on everything to do with starting out as a self-employed person.

Does Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft issue expert opinions for the start-up grant from the Employment Agency?

No. We are not an expert body and therefore cannot issue expert opinions for the start-up grant. You can obtain information on recognised expert bodies from your Jobcentre or your local employment agency.

I’m looking for funding for my project. Can you tell me which funding option is right for me?

The best place to start is our Funding Finder. There you’ll find funding and financing opportunities from the city and state, private and public foundations and associations, as well as loans, credits and equity investments. The Funding Finder lists only those schemes for which creative professionals in Hamburg are eligible to apply.

If you’d like to do further research, we also recommend the federal government’s funding database and that of Kreativ Kultur Berlin.

Can I get funding for my start-up through you?

Yes, we currently offer the following programmes:

• Music WorX – for start-ups and ideas at the intersection of music and technology
• Media Lift – for content and tech start-ups
• Creator Lift – for creators who want to professionalise their work
• Games Lift – for teams developing concepts for digital games

You can find all currently available spaces in our property database. There you’ll find an overview of all the listings currently available – including spaces from Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft as well as properties submitted to us by external providers.

I’m looking for a space for a pop-up. What options are there?

We currently offer two different pop-up spaces, including the pop-up space on Grindelallee and the pop-up shop at the FABRIC Future Fashion Lab. You can find all the information about each space and the relevant contact persons on the respective subpages.

I’m already a tenant. Who should I contact if I have any questions or concerns about my current tenancy?
