Our Portfolio Slam is going into the next round! We have already held five slams at the Design Zentrum, focusing on interaction design and editorial design, motion design, game art and brand design. Together with PAGE, we are focusing on UX design in this round.
UX design - short for user experience design - optimises users' experiences with products, services and digital platforms. For more satisfaction and efficiency! Thanks to information structuring, interface design and intuitive user guidance, seamlessly designed interactions are created. The process of UX design involves repeated prototyping, testing and continuous improvement to create the best possible experiences in physical or digital contexts.

What convinces potential employers like companies or agencies? And how do you present ideas in such a way that you land contracts as a freelancer with your own vision?
The examination of portfolios usually takes place behind closed doors, feedback is often lacking. We're changing that with our slam! Here you have the opportunity to learn what experts look for in a portfolio: Three students or young professionals present their portfolio on stage. After the three slams, the jury and the audience will vote on the best portfolio of the evening.
Be our guest and cheer on the three slammers on stage together with us. Learn what makes a convincing portfolio in the field of UX design and be curious about the tips and feedback of our top-class jury.
After the slam, you will have the chance to talk to the slammers, the guests and the jury and get your questions answered over a drink. Network with like-minded people from Hamburg UX Design and make new contacts.

The evening will open with a keynote speech by Ayla Sybille Gürbüz. For over ten years, the multidisciplinary creative has dedicated herself to usability and works as a freelance senior user experience designer, concept developer and mentor. In addition to her work as a designer, she is part of the ADC Future Females and advocates for more diversity in UX design.
