International competition for the Hamburg Promotion Prize for young, innovative companies from the music industry
At the Music WorX Pitch on 12 November, international start-up teams from Denmark, Sweden and Germany will compete for the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg's prize for young, innovative companies from the music industry. The founders will present their business ideas to the audience and a jury of experts.
With a keynote lecture by Georgia Taglietti
As Head of Communication of the Sonár Festival in Barcelona and board member of SheSaidSo, she draws on more than two decades of experience in the international music industry. Together with the audience, she will cast a glance into the future of the industry: Which developments can be observed and which opportunities are emerging?
Promotion of innovative business models
The Music WorX Pitch is the closing event of this year's Music WorX Accelerator. With the goal of further developing their business models, the five start-ups Tunecity (Hamburg/D), GigsGuide (Malmö/SWE), Street Artists (Paris/ France), Ununu (Berlin/D) and WARM (Copenhagen/DK) were provided with workshops, coaching from industry experts, free workplaces at WeWork Labs and financial support over a period of three months. more
With Music WorX, the Ministry of Culture and Media has been specifically promoting the development of innovative business models in the music industry since 2011. Since 2014 it has been organizing the Music WorX Accelerator together with the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft. Successful companies such as Sofa Concerts, Tinitracks, Groovecat and NOYS VR have already been assisted in the program.
