Join our worksession to explore together what the recruiting and employer branding of tomorrow look like for the games industry.

Finding new talent and keeping highly-trained employees in your company remains a constant challenge - not only for companies in the games sector. Applicants have high expectations for their jobs and compensation and companies compete fiercely for the best talent. Not only locally - the covid pandemic further advanced remote work and makes the competition for talent a global one.

We want to take a look at best practices from inside and outside the games idnustry, trends and what the future brings for employer branding and recruiting.

Two keynotes by recruiting and employer branding experts will kick off the event with inspiring insights. Then, the participants will be split in groups and exchange their ideas, thoughts and challenges in a workshop format. Afterwards the groups present their findings and ideas and we'll discuss further. After this official part of the event, there'll be the opportunity for further networking and exchange over an after-work-drink and snacks.

How to participate:

Are you already in the process of finding new ways to attract talent for your games-related company? Do you want to exchange your thoughts on current challenges in recruiting and employer branding with others in similar positions and want to look for new ideas how to overcome these challenges together?

Then join us on April 12, 6-8 pm for our worksession!

This session is intentionally open to participants from different industries and from different company sizes so that every participant can profit from a wide range of perspectives. We reserve 50% of the seats for Hamburg games companies.

This event is aimed at decision-makers, directors, C-level and HR managers from companies of any size. In order to create a productive workshop experience for every participant, we reserve the right to cancel reservations from guests that are not part of this audience.

About our guest speakers:

Joachim Diercks is the CEO of the Hamburg-based company "Cyquest - The Recrutainment Company" and co-editor/author of the book "Recrutainment: Spielerische Ansätze in Personalmarketing und -auswahl" published by Springer Gabler. In his talk "Where does it come from? Where will it go?" he will summarize the developments in the field of personnel recruitment of the last few years and derive long lines that will probably shape the recruiting of the future.

Our second speaker will cover best practices and trends in employer branding. Their name will be announced shortly.

About Gamecity Forecast:

In our worksession series “Gamecity Forecast” we aim to take a look beyond the day-to-day business - and put our heads together on topics that will gain importance for the games sector in the (near) future. To share insights and develop new perspectives, we bring together experts from various fields with key people from the Hamburg games industry and other sectors. In a compact two-hour-session an expert guest speaker kicks off the discussion with a short keynote, then participants share thoughts, exchange perspectives and develop ideas together in mixed workshop groups. After the main events there’ll be opportunities to continue discussions on your ideas and build networks to follow up on them.
