Programmbeschreibung

This programme is an exchange programme for young journalists: Five young journalists and bloggers from Germany are given the opportunity to work for two months as guest editors in an Eastern European editorial office (at a Russian-language medium). Due to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the military conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh, German scholarship holders are mainly accommodated in safe areas of the Caucasian republics and Moldova. The safety of the scholarship holders is a top priority.

Förderkriterien

Applications are open to German and Eastern European journalists, bloggers and documentary filmmakers between the ages of 20 and 35 who regularly work as freelancers, trainees or editors for German or Eastern European newspapers, radio stations, TV stations or online editorial offices. Among German applicants, preference is given to those who can demonstrate knowledge of an Eastern European language. You can find more information about the application here.
