Film funding

Anyone producing a feature, documentary or animated film in Germany and spending at least 25% of the budget in the country can receive a grant of up to 30% of the recognised costs from the DFFF. The application must be submitted at least six weeks before the start of filming.

A counselling interview is required before any application is submitted. An appointment can be made by email with one of the funding officers. A preliminary financing plan and a cost breakdown should be sent along with the application. You will receive the application form after the counselling interview.
