Impuls neue Musik promotes outstanding music projects that contribute to the exchange between the German-speaking and French-speaking linguistic and cultural areas. Through its funding, Impuls connects the contemporary music scenes in Germany, France, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Since its foundation, Impuls neue Musik has supported more than 235 projects in a total of 18 funding rounds, totalling more than 1.8 million euros. Works by more than 375 composers from Germany, France and Switzerland have been performed thanks to this funding.
We are looking for unusual formats and artistic-research projects that deal with music-cultural styles, aesthetics and production conditions as well as projects with transnational exchange between German- and French-speaking cultural areas. Particularly welcome: Projects that are developed or presented in at least two of the four countries.
