Trend radar: these startups will make big waves in 2023

The music industry is on the move. At this year's Music WorX Pitch, four founding teams provided an interesting outlook with their developments: New technologies and platforms for collaborative work are becoming more accessible to people around the world than ever before. Industry insiders should have these startups on their radar:
Aestival: No more shortage of skilled workers at live events
At the latest since the PULS festival this summer, it has become clear: the shortage of skilled workers at live events will occupy the industry for a long time to come if there is not soon a central contact point for organizers and freelancers. The Berlin-based startup Aestival has developed a platform that brings both groups together. Freelancers can create a job profile in less than 3 minutes. Organizers have the opportunity to advertise jobs and find qualified personnel. The aim is to help the live business get back on its feet and create fair working conditions.
"With the help of Music WorX, we were able to prioritize the future features we are now focusing on. Also, in working out our customer journey, there are more touchpoints with our potential customers that we didn't have on our radar before." Patrick Wolfram, Maximiliane Neubert, Katharina Wortenberg, Andrew Erlanger

Cosonify: The Miroboard for Musicians
The scribbled napkin has had its day. The creative process for musicians has long since shifted to the digital realm. Video snippets, audio tracks, mood boards for album covers and chat threads about song ideas are spread across multiple devices and platforms. But there is room for improvement here: jumping back and forth between different tools is a hindrance, especially in the ideation phase. A tool is needed that unites all applications and simplifies collective work on ideas. Cosonify from Karlsruhe have developed just that. A coworking tool that musicians can use to visualize their song ideas, chat with each other or deposit sound, video and text files. To collect the files, an app serves as a mobile interface.
"Through the Music WorX program, we have internalized even more how important it is to focus. We want to keep our big vision in front of us: To give the creative process, in which ideas develop into a finished song, a digital companion with Cosonify." Hanna Becker, Pascal Kraft, Fabian Glück

InTempo: The app that helps with panic attacks
The startup InTempo from Kiev has developed an app through which users can counteract anxiety attacks by playing music. The touchscreen interaction is additionally supported with a special smartphone case. In the event of an approaching panic attack, those affected have the option of tapping their finger rhythmically in a small depression on the case in time to the music. The product aims to make first aid for mental distress easily accessible, cost-effective and more self-determined.
"Music WorX had a great impact on the possible directions of the InTempo development! An option to go for the healthcare app market (precisely health insurance) was something that we did not consider before." Alina Holovatiuk

connactz: The digital music manager
Of course, the famous stars of the music industry have their own management. But that costs money. Many bands and solo artists have to manage the organization themselves. connactz has recognized this problem. The startup from Bavaria is developing a digital music manager that can take on many tasks with the help of artificial intelligence. For example, it researches new gigs, updates the tour calendar and draws up contracts - all based on previous experience and fully automatically.
"Music WorX provided us a great opportunity to rethink the way we see and shape our product. With the great mentors and workshops in the program, our team gained many new perspectives and insights for our current and future development." Maximilian Blaschke, Konstantin Blaschke, Jeremias Burger
