Svenja Borchert supports Gamecity Hamburg as a project manager.
After completing her Magister degree in German and English Language and Literature in Bonn, Hamburg’s games industry convinced her to leave her roots behind in the Rhineland and strike new ones on northern ground.
Following a game design internship, she took a detour into analog interactive storytelling and took over the role of producer of the English-language university theater at the University of Hamburg. She then spent several years working as a game developer specializing in game design, narrative design, and game writing at various Hamburg-based indie studios. Alongside, she completed a degree in computer science with a media focus to also sport the programmer's hat.
She feels at home in Hamburg’s indie scene, which is why Gamecity Treff is her favorite event.
She prefers indie games, RPGs, point & click adventures, and puzzle games, but will play any genre – though preferably one with a story!
